I feel like we are making progress. Leah emailed me earlier this week saying she is hoping to have the home study typed and submitted to the first reviewer by Friday. I got my W2, so I sent AGAPE the updated financial statement with copies of W2s today. To my knowledge they should have everything they need from us.
I contacted Jaime with CCAI to go over the upcoming steps in the process. Since there are so many steps, I am having a hard time keeping the different processes straight. Below are the items I am working on.
1. Completion of I800A - I have completed the form and will email it to CCAI tomorrow for their review. This is the form that will go to USCIS with our home study.
2. Authentication of dossier documents - I have completed the G1 form to have the Chinese Embassy in Houston authenticate our dossier documents (adoption petition, marriage certificates, birth certificates, physical exams, police reports, and employer letters). I got a few more copies of documents to make before I am able to mail. There are other documents (financial statement, home study, and I-797 form) that will also go through this process. Some of our documents are getting near expiration so I want to go ahead and get them authenticated to avoid rework.
