Birthday Fun

Sunday we celebrated Ethan, my dad, and my birthday. Thank you everyone for a great birthday. Our baby girl also got a happy. I guess Aunt Beth (I forget what we are going to call her) knows what kind of clothes you will be wearing.

State Approved Home Study

I heard back from Leah today.  The state contacted Villa Hope to let them know that our home study has been approved.  Yea!  AGAPE has not received the state's letter in the mail yet.  When AGAPE receives this, they will send us our copies of the home study for sealing.

Weekly Update

I have learned that I have some avid readers that are disappointed I have not posted in awhile. (I love you Grandmother and Papaw.) Unfortunately, there has not been anything to write about.

We mailed the I800A form. We are still waiting to hear from the state for their approval of our home study. I contacted Leah yesterday to get an update, but have not heard back from her.

I went through the pictures we have taken over the last six months to see if we have enough to submit. We are still needing a few more. Hopefully with Easter, birthdays, and Super Bulldog Weekend, we can get all the pictures we need for our dossier.

I have been continuing to learn Chinese. I have made it through three lessons. I will post later all the words I have learned so far. I am really enjoying it.

Please pray that the state will approve our home study quickly, the USCIS will match our I800A form with the home study, and the USCIS will quickly approve our I800A form.

Home Study Approved

God showed me again that He is in control. I was getting a little frantic this week because I knew all the certificates of approvals had been mailed last week to AGAPE. I patiently waited, but by Wednesday I sent an email checking on the status. Did not hear anything Wednesday or Thursday. I was worried that my stuff was just sitting there and nothing was being done about it.

I got an email this morning that Leah had been out of the office. They had received the certificates and put it in the mail to the state Tuesday. Yea! I was worrying about nothing. So, Kevin is going to mail the I800A form to USCIS tomorrow.

Please pray that the state does not have any problems with our home study, they approve it fast, and USCIS matches the home study to the I800A form we submitted.

Home Study Update

I received an email from Jaime at CCAI that she has approved our home study. When I spoke with Leah from AGAPE earlier this week she explained the upcoming process. She will receive certificates of approval from CCAI and Villa Hope for our home study. When those are received, she will send us, CCAI, and Villa Hope copies. She will then send it to the state. When I hear she is sending it to the state, I will then submit the I800A form to USCIS.

I am so eager to get this all behind us and start waiting on our daughter. I think about her all the time and can't wait to see her precious smile which will make my bad days better.
