Kevin and I had our separate interviews today with Leah. It wasn't bad. She toured our home. I believe we have plenty of room for a child. Kevin went first. His interview lasted around 40 minutes. My interview took about an hour. So tomorrow's visit should finish all the interviews.
Leah said it would take her approximately two weeks to get the home study typed and reviewed by her office. Then it goes to Villa Hope in Birmingham for them to review to make sure it meets Alabama standards. Then it goes to CCAI for them to review to make sure it meets China standards. Once everyone has reviewed and changes made, then it goes to the state. It can take them a few weeks to review. The state will send us a letter when they have sent it to USCIS. Then we will need to mail all the other documents to USCIS as well (i.e. copies of passports, birth certificates, marriage certificate, I800A form, etc). When the USCIS approves all our documents, we will receive a form which is the last item we need before sending our documents to China.
We will need to update our financial statement for AGAPE requirements. I need one more savings account statement and it will be complete for the dossier required financial statement update. AGAPE has their own form as well that I will need to revise, but I have not received it yet.
