As an update, Bennett is now 29 lbs and 36.25" tall. He is still only in the 25 percentile. He is a very vocal and has a large vocabulary. He still remains shy and timid in large groups. Although he can remember what we got at a store, he cannot remember how to properly ask for milk. I guess it is selective memory.
We have gone through the potty training process. In the beginning, Bennett really showed no interest. While on vacation, we worked with him and he did very well. After that week, he has only had a few tee-tee accidents in a month. The biggest surprise for me is that he remains dry during naps and bedtime. The pooping was a little bigger struggle. He would rather hold it than have an accident which caused tummy issues. I have been disappointed in the lack of potty training daycare has done. It has really been on us which is hard when we only have him all day on Saturday and Sunday. On the weekends, he does so well with us and wears his underwear. Then on weekdays he has to go back to pull ups. I think the confusion has made it hard. I think we are finally almost there. He has pooped in potty for us and remains accident free on the weekends. Hopefully, he will do this at daycare.
Since turning three, Bennett has become a different child. I was warned about the terrible twos. Bennett had his whiny moments, but they would come and go. I would not consider them terrible. However, two weeks of being three has been terrible. He has developed an attitude and talking back. I guess it is testing his limits. We even received a note from school that he was uncooperative. This is not the child I have know for two years. I hope this is not what the next year is going to be like or he will be spending a lot of time in his room.
