Determining which adoption agency to use can be overwhelming. I have viewed many websites, talked to many references, and gone to some meetings to try to decide who to use.
I am happy to say I officially mailed off our application today. We have decided to use CCAI. They are based out of Colorado, but have a local Atlanta, GA office. Some of the things that made them stick out from the rest are...
* Focus on Chinese adoptions.
* Founders are Chinese.
* Mission is to find homes for Chinese orphans.
* Quick response to my emails and phone calls.
* 24 hour response policy.
* All references confirmed how great they are.
The application was not too long or hard to fill out. I finally realized how weird I am. I love filling out forms and paperwork. From what I have heard, I may feel differently by the end of this, but right now I am excited.
We should hear back from CCAI in a week to know if our application has been accepted.
We will have to have a AL non-profit agency to complete our home study. I got a lot of feedback from friends and references regarding who not to use. I did not get any great news regarding AL agencies that are qualified to do a Hague home study. I have spoken with an agency that I hope to use and hope to receive an application today.
