Update

We are still alive.  I am barely surviving at work currently, so I have not been able to handle anything but work.

Over the last few weeks, I have heard a few stories of people getting ready to travel to China for their child.  It is so exciting to hear these family's stories and watch them unite with their child.  I know God must give these children special abilities to cope with such change since they seem to handle it so well under the circumstances.

In watching one couples journey, I am worried about the food situation when we are in China.  We may need to take luggage bags of food and not clothes.  We can get clothes when we get there.

I can't wait till it is our turn.  Continue to pray that the CCAA starts matching children more quickly, so we can bring our daughter home soon.

  1. Glad you're back. We have been missing your post. I check daily and sometimes twice a day. I would like to hear about family stories and how they are united with their children. Will you tell me what site to go to? Maybe you should find a way to take a cooler of chicken, pizza and soft serve yogurt.
love you both and think of ya'll daily

This is the blog address for one of the couples. My sister went to church with them when she was in Lake Charles. If you see reference to Dawn, she is also Ethan's "Aunt" Dawn.
